Derw Coffee is Wales’ first cold brew coffee producer. Their coffee liqueur has 75% less sugar than most, and a tonka bean infusion, giving it a smooth intensity with hints of vanilla and coconut. It has won multiple awards including Great Taste, and Best Welsh Liqueur, and comes in a decaf option. The liqueurs can be enjoyed on their own, in cocktails, or in desserts. Derw also produce ready to drink cocktails such as an espresso martini, and a coffee negroni. You can find their products on their website, in local specialist shops, and at artisan markets and food festivals.

Their premium, ethically sourced beans are roasted in North Wales, and are given 16 hours to work their brewing magic in fresh Welsh water on Anglesey. The result is an award winning, exceptionally smooth cold brew coffee which has an intense depth, but not the bitterness and acidity of hot brewed coffee.

Derw’s brand and creations have been influenced by the diverse background of its founders, Chris and Intan, who are from Wales and Bali. ‘Derw’ means ‘oak tree’ in Welsh, which was Chris’ father’s favourite tree. Sadly he passed away just before the company started, but he would have been proud to see what it became.
