This stunning Garden has two distinct parts. The upper garden around Bodnant Hall (not NT) consists of the Terraces - there are five in all and Italianate in style featuring impressive buttressed walls and brick paths, curved steps, pergolas and lily ponds. Nearby are the formal lawns edged with gorgeous borders displaying a variety of herbaceous plants.

Below these is the lower part of the Garden; beneath a canopy of towering trees varieties of shrubs clothe the steeply sided banks of The Dell, where you will experience a different world. Here the little River Hiraethlyn tumbles over a waterfall and flows past hostas and hydrangeas. Wander through the Yew Dell and make your way to the recently-opened Far End with its small lake and boathouse.

Here at Bodnant Garden we grow a wide range of interesting and beautiful plants from all over the world, particularly China, North America, Europe and Japan that are suited to the Welsh climate and soil. As well as this, care has been taken to place the plants in such a way that they enhance each other and contribute to the general beauty of the Garden throughout the seasons.

An 80 acre paradise filled with plants collected by famous global explorers.  In Spring enjoy swathes of daffodils, camellias, magnolias, rhododendrons and azaleas with the Laburnum Arch flowering at the end of May/early June.  Summer brings scented roses, water lilies, clematis, herbaceous beds and wildflower meadows, whilst Autumn features include a kaleidoscope of rich leaf colour and berries, with sparkling frosty landscapes in winter.
