By Rail
If you’re traveling to North Wales by rail, you’re more than likely to be arriving on the north coast. Your stops will include principle stations such as Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. From these stations, North Wales really opens up. You can transfer to the city of Bangor, or catch a train to more rural destinations.
You needn’t do everything by the book – especially when traveling on a train. North Wales is home to some of the best heritage railways in the world. You’ll be able to see some of the best scenery in North Wales and all from the comfort of your carriage.
By Bus

On Foot
You don’t need a car to see the best of North Wales. To see the best sights, you just need a pair of walking boots. We’ve got some of the best countryside walking routes and a coast path which surrounds North Wales.

By Road
The A55 hugs the north coast; the expressway will take you past all the major towns and cities on including Mold, Holywell, Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Bangor and onto Anglesey and Holyhead.
As it is well signposted, you’re never in danger of missing your turn off, However, a Sat Nav may be advised to find regions off the beaten track!
For scenic travel, the inland A5 stretches from west to east, passing rural villages and leading you through the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
With so much to see, a car park is never too far away in North Wales. Along Snowdonia’s roads, you’ll find many places to pull in and gaze over the surrounding beauty. This is also the case for the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley.
The bus network in North Wales provides an easy way to travel around North Wales. Day or week passes can be bought to give you the ultimate freedom to explore North Wales.
