About
Rhyl’s beach is a timeless classic. The long and sandy beach stretches for nearly 2 miles from the Clwyd Estuary to Splash Point. The beach itself is very traditional. Donkey rides run during peak seasons and don’t forget to bring your bucket and spade – the sand is perfect to make the most creative of sand castles.
In late summer, the Rhyl Air Show provides some spectacular sights above the beach. Next to the beach is Rhyl’s famous promenade, packed with plenty of amusement arcades, cafés and restaurants. Beyond the prom there are plenty of shops and other facilities in Rhyl’s town centre.
Dog restrictions apply on the beach – although these are relaxed between October and April.
