About
The Snowdon Horseshoe (Pedol Yr Wyddfa) is often considered the toughest of all of the Wyddfa routes. The Grade 1 scramble up Crib Goch is perhaps the most precarious and testing part of the route, as it involves traversing a jagged, knife-edge ridge with vertical drops on either side.
Anyone attempting the Snowdon Horseshoe should be comfortable in the mountains, have a good head for heights and be ready to take their mountain walking to the next level.
This is arguably one of the finest walking routes in the UK and involves some of the most spectacular vistas, trails and ridgelines you will ever have the pleasure of traversing.
*This route is not for beginners in the mountains and is weather dependant. Should the weather be too adverse then we will use a different route instead.*
The best place to park is in Llanberis, we will share the exact meeting location with you after you book.
After meeting at 7.45am, we aim to summit around lunch time and be back in Llanberis around 6.15pm. There are ample opportunities for tea and cake at the foot of Yr Wyddfa, as a reward for your achievements!
This is an OPEN walk for all abilities - children over 16yrs, with similar walking experience, are welcome with their parent or guardian. Groups of 5 or more should contact us directly to book your own private walk.
Register onto one of our Open days by heading to our Book Now page by following the ticket link. Alternatively, if you'd like to book a bespoke date of your choice with your own leader then contact us directly. We also offer gift vouchers, so why not treat a loved one and help them tick off the UK's favourite mountain?
