About
Situated in the very peaceful Village of Penysarn, to the North of Anglesey and being close to the most Northern tip of Wales. We offer two, two bedroomed apartments that each sleep 4 people and 1 annexe sleeping 2 people.
The Annexe and the Gatehouse are dog friendly (max 2 dogs for each and small dogs only in the Annexe). They look out over a large garden and decking area. The Gatehouse on the ground level and the Peaceful Retreat situated above, look out over a treelined garden (home to our resident red squirrel) with open fields beyond. Both apartments have full working kitchens, access to laundry room and spacious lounge.
The Annexe has a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom with large TV in bedroom and has access to laundry room. Outside is a very spacious balcony with garden furniture and fire pit.
There is ample off-road parking to the rear of the property. The local shop and Post Office is literally across the road and within a few feet is located the bus stop, with two buses running every half hour on the main bus route.
Despite the name, there is no castle nearby but there are plenty other attractions in the area and on the Island. Penysarn (Pen-uhh-sarn) nestles in the shadow of Mynydd Parys (Parys Mountain) where the disused copper mines are located. ‘The Copper Trail’ makes for an easy walk made all the more interesting when linked to the ‘Copper Kingdom’ located 2 miles away at Amlwch Port (copperkingdom.co.uk) where you can also book boating and fishing trips.
In the opposite direction only 1½ miles away lies the small picturesque beach of Llan Eilian and from here you can choose from two coastal path walks according to walking experience although neither are very strenuous. Guided walks are available by prior booking.
Over the road from us is a little craft and local produce shop called Ty Copr, see their Facebook page HERE. By car, other amenities are not very far away and the Island has plenty to offer all age groups. Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and Betws Y Coed are only an hour's drive away.
