Our self-catering accommodation in Snowdonia National Park is an amazing location for family adventures and those seeking unspoilt scenery and food for the soul. Close to the coast and mountains with castles, steam trains and ancient market towns to explore, your holiday can be action packed or as laid back as you like. You can walk from the four attractive holiday cottages through our wild woods and meadows onto the beautiful Mawddach Estuary Trail. The 9 mile traffic-free trail links seaside Barmouth and the historic market town of Dolgellau. It’s a magical location for cyclists, walkers, photographers and wildlife-watchers. The pet-friendly cottages share the same massive Welsh slate roof of this converted Victorian slate cutting shed. They adjoin our small, quiet camp site.

Graig Wen is a favourite place for friends and family to get together. Each house has its own character and features, but all are spacious and comfortable with everything you need for your home from home. Sit back, relax and take in the panoramic views from the houses facing the Mawddach Estuary – one of the most stunning treasures of the Welsh coast.

TY'R ADAR ("House of the Birds"), PINE COTTAGE, SMALL BARN and LITTLE HAVEN share the same massive roof of a converted Victorian slate cutting mill which perches above the estuary. Walk straight onto the coastal Mawddach cycle/foot path or explore upland walks in the forest and foothills of Cadair Idris. Fairbourne's sandy, Blue Flag beach, steam railway and shops are 2 miles away and you can walk to Barmouth across the famous bridge. Many attractions within easy reach include: Coed-y-Brenin's mountain bike routes; Portmeirion, setting for the Prisoner TV series, world heritage site Harlech Castle and Zip World Titan. The attractive market town of Dolgellau is just 5 miles away and features a range of lovely indepedent shops, cafes and restaurants. Just a few minutes away you can go horse-riding on the beach, mountain biking, fishing from the sea or Cregennan Lakes, sailing or kayaking

SMALL BARN provides modern self-catering facilities and accommodation for 4 people. The spacious 2 bedroom house has a 4 star grading from Visit Wales. The large sun room has recently been refurbished and has views over the Mawddach Estuary and camp site. Lounge has huge TV and Play station. Free wifi. New bath/shower room and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge freezer etc. 

PINE COTTAGE has exceptional views over the Mawddach Estuary. The two bedroom house can sleep 4 and adjoins the other holiday cottages and guest house at Graig Wen. There is Sky TV and free wifi. Our small touring camp site is next door. Pine Cottage is rated 4 star by Visit Wales and suits larger families or groups of friends / mountain bikers.

Pine Cottage can sleep up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms - both have a double bed and one also has bunk beds. It has a fenced patio area with seating overlooking Mawddach estuary - safely enclosed for young children or pets. There is a large open plan kitchen/diner and lounge with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, large fridge freezer, cooker and microwave. Central heating. FRee wifi and large flat screen TV with DVD and Sky TV (additional TV/DVD and video in bedroom). Free off road parking for up to 2 cars. Beds made up for arrival

TY'R ADAR (which means House of the Birds in Welsh) has been stylishly refurbished and features:
Large, open plan living/dining area with wood-burning stove. Two enormous sofas including a sofa bed with extra thick mattress - Large flat screen TV and DVD/CD player and free wifi - Two bedrooms with one double and one twin beds - Work from local artists and furniture custom made from locally sourced and recycled timber - Well equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, washing machine, fridge, shower, hairdryer, ironing facilities. The woodburning stove is complemented by effective storage heaters.

LITTLE HAVEN has stunning estuary views and sleeps 4 people in one double and 2 twin beds. The house is rated 5 star by Visit Wales and has recently been refurbished with a modern bathroom and kitchen. Dishwasher, fridge freezer etc. Central heating.  Superking double and twin beds made up for arrival. Mobile phone reception. Free wifi. Use of BBQ. 


Combine our cottages, glamping or campsite accommodation for larger groups. Available from 3pm on Saturdays for week long bookings.
