In Distillery

One of the most celebrated craft producers in the UK, the Dyfi Distillery in Corris, was selected to be served at the Queen’s official Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Washington DC last week.

The garden party took place at the British Embassy for senior dignitaries and other specially invited guests, and Dyfi Gin was enjoyed and shone a spotlight on Wales’ only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Bartholomew Broadbent, President of Broadbent Selections, who import Dyfi Gin into the USA commented, “It was a real pleasure to introduce people to this world class gin in such a special setting and on such a special occasion. Everyone I spoke to thought the quality was breathtaking.”

The Dyfi Distillery operates from within the Dyfi Valley, and is, unusually for a distillery of its size, frequently open to passing visitors. It is located within the Corris Craft Centre, a hub for thriving independent craft producers.

The only two-times winner of the Best British Gin trophy amongst its countless awards, the tiny family-owned Dyfi Distillery punches seriously above its weight. Amongst their range is Pollination Gin, a Dovey Native Botanical Gin which uses no less than 20 different foraged plant materials in its distillation. Located in the heart of the Corris Craft Centre, you can visit without appointment (even well-behaved dogs are allowed in the fascinating visitor area, where you can view the distillery itself), where you can chat with the family and taste these remarkable gins.
