Baron Hill Golf Club is located above of the historic town of Beaumaris boasting panoramic views of the Snowdonia Moutain Range. It is one of the oldest privately owned golf course in the UK dating back to the 1880's. This nine-hole heathland course with its true, fast sloping greens is challenging and provides a good golfing experience. The course is not long but well designed withmany risk reward options it is a par 68 for gents & par 70 for Ladies & was extensively remodelled in the 1960's by the then Captain CD Lawrie who whilst Captain at Baron Hill was also the non-playing Walker Cup Captain in 1960 & 1962. CD Lawrie went on to assist in the design of both the Duke & Duchess courses at Woburn.

Baron Hill was one of only 7 Welsh 9 hole courses listed in the top 49 UK 9 hole courses in the August 2018 Edition of "Todays Golfer" Magazine, the Par 3 5th hole is seen as one of the best Par 3 holes in Wales. The Course only has one sand bunker behind the 9th/18th Green there is a penalty for visiting payable to the Club Captain's chosen charity.

Golfers of different abilities are made very welcome and a wide range of opportunities are available to participate in club competitions, inter-club competitions and social golf. Annual events are also organised in support of 'Identified Charities'.

Social functions where members may bring friends and family are held on a monthly basis as well as an Annual Dinner Dance.

The strength of Baron Hill Golf is the camaraderie between members and the support they provide in terms of voluntary help in getting jobs done.
