About
Built in the 19th century, this castellated former gentleman’s residence sits at the entrance to the beautiful Conwy Estuary. The location is equidistant between the historic cobbled medieval fishing village of Conwy, with its romantic Castle, and the charming Victorian seaside splendour of Llandudno and the Great Orme.
Graciously set across 2,000 sq ft and with direct access and views across the estuary, this home is sure to delight. Whilst you relish your proximity to the beach, let the children explore the rock pools. As you fix your gaze on the shimmering water, perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to spot a seal or two.
On the ground floor the formal dining room can seat up to nine guests around the ceremonious table. A log burner, Chesterfield sofa, refined armchairs, twinkling chandeliers and a huge polished mirror complete the look. A well-stocked bookcase comes complete with a library of novels all within easy reach. Dining becomes a true culinary occasion here – throw a log on the wood burner and savour the view as the boats slip serenely by in the estuary.
Retire to the first floor sitting room to relax and from the comfort of the sofa prepare for the drama that is sunset. Excitement builds as four generously proportioned windows flood the room with light. As the sun dips into the horizon across the estuary the room glows pastel pink and fiery red. Alternatively, charge your glass with wine, grab a blanket and head outside to the front deck. A gentle stroll along the promenade, will allow you to extract the very last moments of daylight before the estuary turns black.
Back indoors, and with the fire dying down its time to retire for the evening and re-charge the batteries after your day soaking up the sea air. Slumber awaits for up to seven guests in the main house arranged as three en-suite bedrooms and a small child’s bedroom. Two additional guests can be accommodated in the separate Beach Hut, the ground floor en-suite studio in the courtyard to the rear. Each bedroom is tastefully decorated in neutral tones, with a selection of artwork depicting either local scenes or glamour from a bygone era by Vetrianno.
