Criccieth’s Blue Flag beach is slightly different to ones more commonly found on the Llyn Peninsula. Divided by a medieval castle, both of Criccieth’s beaches are predominantly pebbly, with few sandy arears. The shallow and warmer waters make it popular with swimmers and bathers.
Dogs have restricted access to the beach during summer months, although these are relaxed over the winter period. Shops and all the major facilities can be found in the town centre, which lies close to the beach. A slipway provides easy access for power boats.
