Criccieth Castle was built by Llywelyn the Great of the Kingdom of Gwynedd.The castle was eventually captured by the English forces of Edward 1st in the 13th century.

Today the castle provides some amazing sea views, there is no onsite parking, however parking is available on the streets around the castle.

The castle is today managed by CADW and most certainly worth a visit while you are in the area.
