Activities in North Wales
You're standing high above an enormous slate quarry, strapped to a zipwire harness. In seconds your feet will be off the ground and you'll be flying, careering head-first across the chasm at 70mph. That photo is SO going on Facebook!
Make it a photo album instead. You'll want a picture of you at the top of Snowdon. Sailing the Menai Strait. Rafting a whitewater river, or bouncing on a trampoline...in a cavern! North Wales activities make the best memories!
North Wales activities make the region the adventure playground of Britain.
With some of the UK's best coastal waters, sea-based watersports are popular. Inland, Bala has Wales' biggest lake and nearby its best whitewater centre.
North Wales activities include some of Britain's best mountain bike trails and off-road cycle routes. If you prefer your adventure on foot, you might head for Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales. There are several walking routes up to choose from (or cheat and take the train!). Coastal walks and country ambles offer plenty of opportunity to give your feet and walking boots an easier day out.
"How did they ever think of that?" is a phrase you could apply to some of the more wacky North Wales activities! Bounce on trampolines in a cavern, zip-line over giant slate quarries at 70mph, or learn to ride the waves at an inland surf lagoon.
All sounds too frenetic? Well, you can always enjoy a round a golf! Discover some of the most striking courses in the UK - including one hole surrounded by the sea!
